The Parent Club’s main role within the school is to raise some much-needed funds for our great school.
Fundraising in the past has contributed towards things such as new playground equipment, computers, air conditioning, shade sails, library resources, literacy and numeracy resources……….the list goes on!
Our members contribute with ideas for fundraisers and also coordinate and assist with fundraisers and special events. We have our meeting once a month every month, alternating between day and night, in the school staffroom and we would love to see some new faces!
The most popular event Parent Club runs is our monthly sausage sizzle, which the kids love! It is run on the last Thursday of each month and the students have the opportunity to purchase their lunch at a minimal cost.
We also run a special lunch day each term, including Hot Dog Day, Pizza Day and Pie (Footy) Day. We greatly appreciate and need parent help on these days.
Along with fundraising and special lunch days, Parent Club also prepare morning or afternoon teas when required (eg. on Orientation Day and the first day of school), run Book Fairs and Mother’s and Father’s Day activities, run the uniform shop and assist in any other school activities where help is needed.
We look forward to meeting you for a cuppa and a chat in the staffroom on Orientation Day and the first day of school. We even supply the tissues!
