Our centre features two welcoming rooms designed for early learning and development:
Nursery & Toddler Room (0–3 years): 16 children per day.
Kinder Room (3–5 years): 22 children per day.
And we also run the before and after school care in our OSHC program.
We operate under the Education and Care National Regulations and Laws, and our programs are guided by both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time, Our Place (MTOP) frameworks.
Our Mission
With over 25 years of experience in early childhood education and care, our mission is to:
Provide a nurturing service where children can learn and grow while families balance other aspects of their lives.
Offer children a home away from home where they feel safe, valued, and secure.
Build strong networks of connection between children, families, and educators.
Encourage children to be active participants in their world, capable of making meaningful contributions.
Create tailored spaces for learning, exploration, and discovery.
Foster authentic, trusting, and respectful relationships between educators and children.
Our Vision & Philosophy
At Coldstream Primary School OSHC & Early Years, we believe:
It takes a village to raise a child. Children thrive through the combined care, encouragement, and wisdom of a supportive community.
Childhood should be filled with joy, laughter, imagination, and hope. Children deserve the freedom to dream, play, and simply be children.
Structure and guidance are vital — children need positive role models, clear expectations, and the space to question, reflect, and grow.
Healing, inclusion, and connection are possible — we can overcome barriers and build a world rooted in understanding and respect.
Our community should empower every individual to become the best version of themselves, building one another up with kindness and compassion.
Real change begins with us — one step, one child, one moment at a time.
Important Information for Families
To ensure your child’s comfort and continuity of care, we ask families to provide:
Nappies and wipes
Meals and snacks for the day
We’ve found that familiar food and personal care items from home help children feel more secure and confident, supporting smoother transitions and deeper bonds with educators.
Our educators work longer, consistent shifts, meaning the person who greets you in the morning is often the same one who says goodbye at the end of the day. This approach strengthens trust and provides true continuity of care.
Your child will be known — truly known — by a small, consistent team of 8–12 dedicated educators who will support them from infancy through to school age.
Kindergarten Program & School Readiness
We proudly offer 3- and 4-year-old funded Kindergarten programs, led by passionate Early Childhood Teachers. Our curriculum supports each child’s individual growth and ensures a smooth, confident transition to school.
Children regularly engage with the wider school community, and our Kinder teachers work closely with school staff to build strong foundations for learning.
We also offer Before & After School Care and Vacation Care during school holidays, ensuring continuity and convenience for the school families.
Exploring Beyond the Classroom
We believe learning extends far beyond the walls of our service.
Our children enjoy regular community outings — from local parks and shops to farms!
We want every child to live, explore, and experience a truly magical childhood.
