Our school works closely with Coldstream Kinder to ensure a smooth and seamless transition to primary school. This gives us an opportunity to run accelerated learning classes and interventions to ensure all children feel comfortable and supported in this first big step in their formal education.

Coldstream Preschool is cluster managed by Yarra Ranges Kindergartens Inc.

Coldstream Preschool runs an investigative play based learning program for 3 and 4 year old children. They have a strong emphasis on exploring nature so the children have access to the indoor and outdoor environments all year. The staff support children to have a love and respect for living creatures and at kinder they have guinea pigs, chickens, lizards and a range of insects. Their curriculum is developmentally and culturally appropriate and work to support children's understanding of diversity, inclusion and fair play. The continued support of children to develop skills such as personal resilience, social competence, body movement control, an understanding of literacy, numeracy, science, art and music all through play where creativity and individual ideas are encouraged.
